Hi! I’m Chantel. I currently live in Kansas, my home state, but would not be surprised if I end up across the country any minute. I am the single mommy of two beautiful girls, Isabella, 3, and Adalee, 1. I love every minute of being their mommy and am reminded every day of how blessed I am to have them in my life. Parenthood is hard in itself, but when you have to be both parents on a daily basis, it gets even harder. Let me tell you though, it is totally worth it! This blog is dedicated to exploring parenthood and I hope to help bring out the creativity within your family. My goal is to help parents spend the precious time they have with their children doing things that everyone can enjoy. You’ll find even more content through book reviews and content for both parents and kids alike and much more on The Mommy Bookworm!
Bella is the sweetest little girl you will ever meet, but don’t let her fool you! She can be a holy terror sometimes. She loves listening to music and dancing all the time. She’s smart, funny, creative, crazy, and one of the best problem solvers I know. Pretty good for a three year old!
Adalee is very energetic and independent. She loves singing and dancing, and when I say dancing, she really gets down! She is a ball of joy and I am excited to see what else she will bring to our family in the future.
More About Me
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audio Production from The Art Institute of Colorado and am currently pursuing a degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies through Berklee College of Music. Music is my passion and I am trying my very best to pursue that while also being the best mommy I can be. I enjoy traveling, reading, scrapbooking, crafting, fishing, hiking, camping, listening to music of all kinds, playing flute, and singing (I’m sure I’m missing some things, but I’ll think of them eventually).
I became a mom for the first time at the age of 19. I could not have asked for a better baby. Bella was beautiful and I instantly fell in love. Adalee came along about 2.5 years later and I was again blessed beyond measure. I had not planned to become a young mother or a single mother at that, but I feel that everything happens for a reason and I am doing the best with what I am given. Besides, how can I not be happy?
